How might we eliminate internalized misogyny through identifying sources of shame?
Objective
Design a magazine that highlights the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to
transform our world and how these issues may be found locally.
Strategy
The deliverable highlighted one local problem that relates to the SDGs, in which I chose to
focus on eliminating internalized misogyny and its various effects on women. I applied the
principles of human-centered design to the magazine by conducting interviews with subject
matter experts and created a visual identity, including typographic design, which dictated the
brand of the issue. The end result illustrated systems thinking in a variety of contexts to explain the full scope of the complex problem in a 29-page issue.
